1. Repair Warranty
Tie-Tuned Musical Instruments Trading warrants all repair and setup work for a period of 7 days from the date of completion and pickup. During this period, if the same issue reoccurs due to our workmanship, we will re-service the instrument at no additional charge.
Warranty Covers:
- → Recurring issues directly related to the performed service
- → Setup adjustments within 7 days of pickup
- → Defective parts installed by Tie-Tuned (within 30 days)
Warranty Does NOT Cover:
- ✕ Damage caused by the customer after pickup (drops, impacts, string breakage)
- ✕ Normal wear and tear
- ✕ Issues unrelated to the original service performed
- ✕ Instruments modified by another technician after pickup
- ✕ Customer-supplied parts that fail
2. 30-Day Non-Pickup Policy
Once your instrument is marked Ready for Pickup, you will be notified via SMS. You have 30 calendar days from the completion date to claim your instrument.
Storage Fee Schedule
Storage fees are added to the original repair quote and must be settled before the instrument is released.
3. Instrument Seizure Policy
Instruments left unclaimed for more than 90 days after the completion date, and for which no payment arrangement has been made, may be considered abandoned and subject to seizure by Tie-Tuned Musical Instruments Trading.
Seizure Process:
- 01.SMS reminder sent at 3, 7, 14, and 30 days after completion
- 02.Final 72-hour warning notice sent via SMS before Day 91
- 03.If unclaimed after Day 90, instrument is formally logged as abandoned
- 04.Seized instruments may be sold to recover repair and storage costs
- 05.Any surplus from sale will be held for the original owner for 6 months
Tie-Tuned will make every reasonable effort to contact the customer before initiating seizure proceedings. Customers who agree to a payment plan in writing are exempt from seizure during the plan period.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- → Provide accurate contact information (phone number) at intake
- → Bring your own strings — Tie-Tuned does not supply strings unless agreed upon
- → Disclose any known defects or previous repairs on the instrument
- → Ensure timely pickup within the 30-day window to avoid storage fees
- → Settle all outstanding balances before claiming your instrument
